Description

GAI is seeking a college student in their junior year enrolled in an ABET Accredited Engineering Program, to work in our Pennsylvania Bridge Group, a Business Sector of our Transportation Business Unit. This position will be based out of our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office in Homestead.

Job Duties:



  • Assist with the design and detailing of transportation structures including bridges, sign structures, culverts, noise walls, and retaining walls.
  • Calculation of construction item quantities and cost estimates.
  • Develop proficiency in MicroStation and other engineering software.
  • Collaborate with other professionals.


Expectations and Education:



  • Performs work under direct engineering supervision.
  • Handles basic problems and receives support on more complex issues from higher-level staff.
  • Possesses beginning knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Attainment Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and pass the FE exam within one year.
  • Reports to and is mentored by an engineering manager.

Education
Bachelors of Engineering (preferred)
Experience
0 - 1 years: Assist with the design and detailing of transportation structures including bridges, sign structures, culverts, noise walls, and retaining walls. (required)
