Overview

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading a dynamic team of 10 inside sales representatives specializing in construction equipment, including 6 focused on selling new and used machines and attachments, and 4 dedicated to selling aftermarket parts and services. The Inside Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales performance, developing strategies, and ensuring excellent customer service across six South Carolina branch locations (Greenville, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, Columbia, Florence, and Summerville).

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Lead a team of 10 inside sales representatives across 6 branch locations to achieve revenue, gross profit, and active customer growth goals.
  • Develop and implement robust call planning and account management strategies to increase active customers by 30% among retail and small core customer segments.
  • Maximize opportunities and close rates by ensuring effective sales funnel management and diligent lead follow-through.
  • Monitor and achieve monthly activity, quote, revenue, and gross profit goals for each sales rep.
  • Partner with other departments withing the dealership to enhance and grow our retail presence.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to analyze market trends and a competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Available to travel up to 30+% of the time required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with 2+ years in management role required.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing high-performance sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Results are oriented and focused on continuous process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to primarily work inside (climate controlled and non-climate controlled) throughout the year.
  • Position may require employees to be physically present at designated worksite locations.
  • Requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
