The Opportunity

The Property Underwriting Analyst Intern will provide an understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines, completing assignments, working in a team environment as well as independently. Interns will strengthen their communication skills, ability to ask questions, and problem solving. Additionally, they will broaden their insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Underwriting Analyst team in support of Underwriters
  • Gain practical knowledge about the insurance and reinsurance industry
  • Scrutinize workflows and information proactively to identify key insights
  • Become familiar with how to prepare deliverables and engage in professional meetings
  • Attend team meetings and company networking events

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Major: Business or Risk Management
  • Accepted Grade Level: rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior undergraduates
  • Aptitude for analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel and Sharepoint
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with an eye for details
  • Ability to proactively engage in conversations and ask questions
  • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
