Job Description The Johnson County Department of Corrections operates a 6 month inpatient substance abuse treatment program called the Therapeutic Community. At the Therapeutic Community, we believe in partnering to support behavior change and self-sufficiency while reconnecting justice-involved individuals with their community. The Senior Substance Abuse Counselor plays a pivotal role in supporting the clinical oversight and operations of the program. This position provides supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a team of licensed substance abuse counselors, ensures the delivery of high-quality services, compliance with state and accreditation standards, and supports clients on their path to recovery.
