SHIFT: Day (United States of America)A Brief Overview We are seeking a part-time master's prepared social worker to support the Spina Bifida Program and the ENT/Airway program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This social worker will provide services to pediatric and young patients and their families seen in the multidisciplinary outpatient Spina Bifida clinic as well as to those seen in ENT/Airway clinics. Social work services include assessment of psychosocial functioning, supportive counseling and education, anticipatory guidance, referral to community resources, help with accessing benefits, and assistance with travel/logistics. The social worker will also support patients and families in their transition to adult medical care when appropriate. Social workers collaborate with many disciplines, programs, departments, and organizations in the accomplishment of these duties. Social Work experience in the medical field is preferred.
