LOCATION: Tucson Hospitality House -1002 N. Main Ave STATUS: PT - Friday and Saturday 11:00pm - 8:00am MISSION STATEMENT: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. The Salvation Army is looking to fill an overnight Intake Worker position. The successful candidate for this position will be computer literate in MS Office suite and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The Overnight Intake Worker will manage the general operations of the intake area providing information and referrals, medication, and access to luggage and checked in items. This person will monitor and supervise clients, investigate and report activity and incidents appropriately. This position will gather statistical information form participants sign up sheets and client registrations and enter into HMIS completing any intake assessments of clients arriving during the overnight shift. This position will monitor facility cameras and make periodic rounds of the facility. This employee will provide good customer service to clients providing proper forms and hygiene items. QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
