You will be a member of the Group Finance team as Project Financial Analyst supporting our R&D new products and business cases. You will support operational analysis for profitability and financial projects/programs as requested by Group management and our Project Management Office (PMO). In partnership with PMO, this position is responsible for overseeing the budget, actuals and business cases (including project cost accounting and EPM Project Tracking) of our robust life science and diagnostic R&D portfolios. You will support Group financial reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis, work with Group Finance and critical business partners for deliverables, and ensures all accounting and financial reporting is in accordance with GAAP and the Corporate Accounting Manual requirements.

How You'll Make An Impact:

Provide financial advice around R&D new products for financial feasibility



  • Reviews Finance Models, profitability metrics, and ROI calculations. Supports operational analysis for profitability including the IPM process, New Products Development, Marketing initiatives, geographic expansion, revenue/registration programs, and projects/programs as requested by Group management or the Core teams.
  • Coordinate and proactive organization of finance support for financial model.
  • Participation and support to Project meetings (e.g LSC Portfolio Action Committee).


Project Cost Accounting



  • Responsible for the PCA activities, deliver PCA (Dashboard, EPM tracking & reconciliation) and accurate financial information related to projects (Plan, Forecast, Actual) in accordance with GAAP and the Corporate Accounting Manual requirements
  • Support Group financial reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis.
  • Responsible to maintain accurate documentation on PCA methodology.
  • Responsible for the training and the understanding of the PCA by the R&D / PMO/ Marketing / Finance teams.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of the company's financial processes; First point of contact for any questions related to PCA.


Business Advisory


  • Responsible for ensuring robust business cases for R&D investments are complete and meet company objectives. Critical role in advising project teams, R&D leaders, and Finance leaders on key financial components and metrics of new projects.

Ad-hoc analysis


  • Provides involved and in-depth financial and operational analyses. Interprets the financial reports for senior management and alerts them to significant issues or opportunity trends.

What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Work Experience: 6 years of applicable FP&A experience required. Experience with multinational public company. SAP and EPM experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills in order to accurately complete detail data assignments, understand and interpret broad financial concepts and their application.
  • Solid analytical skills to effectively identify problems and develop solutions. Problem solver, can do attitude, hands on approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple levels of management in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to obtain complete and accurate information and explanations from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to tell the story behind the information shared. Understanding of business strategy, understand business process and able to identify key drivers of results.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP accounting.
  • Strong mathematical and computer-related skills. Proficient in the use and development of financial models or other financial software.
  • Excellent business writing skills.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $129,400 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
