Advanced Mechanical Engineer
- The candidate seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics for the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system.
- Design and analyze components and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Create and maintain mechanical solid models and drawings.
- Create and manage bills of material (BOM) within the data management system.
- Develop fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts.
- Generate design and interface documentation.
- Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer.
- Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in leading complex projects.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Good proficiency with SolidWorks modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods and technical, government, and industry standards.
- Experience with ruggedized electronics packaging for shipboard applications.
- Experience with a client (ASME Y14.5).
- Collaborative, creative thinker.
- Good communication skills with the ability to write technical papers and proposals
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
