Summary:
This position provides support for the organization ensuring timely and accurate customer billings and invoices for Electric services. Additionally, it involves collaborating with various departments to research, analyze and resolve billing disputes.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, analyzes, and completes billing exception transactions to a path of resolution for various scenarios such as meter malfunctions, diversion, crossed metering situations, and incorrect meter data.
- Analyze and research complex exceptions considering system limitations when making corrections.
- Effectively interface and support internal/external stakeholders to resolve and assist exception billing issues and offer resolutions in the customer billing process.
- Technically capable and understand the deregulation transaction process within Utility Tariffs, Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Regulations, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Protocols and TX Set Transactions.
- The billing corrections will need to be within the guidelines of the tariff rates, rules, and regulatory.
- To perform job duties (SAP/ CRM, Market Trak, TMT, MDM)
- Interface with internal/ external customers to process exceptions and resolve electric account issues from Retail Providers, Attorneys, Administrative Office, Customer Relations, Customer Service, Revenue Accounting, Claims Department, and Electric Market Operations (EMO).
- Works overtime when required.
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics, and grammar.
Experience:
- Requires a minimum of two years of experience related to customer billing/customer service.
- Requires a basic knowledge and understanding of PUC guidelines and Tariff rulings, TMAT functionality, SAP, CRM, and Business Objects applications.
