The Salvation Army Position Description Kankakee, IL Position Title: Community Resource Specialist Job Summary: Be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, inform and guide visitors to the appropriate Salvation Army resource or services. Provide Community support along with distribution of Food to local residents. Ensure regular pickups from local community partners are managed and complete to stock the Pantry as needed. Maintain building cleanliness and overall presence to visitors and guests. Reports To: Social Services Director Pay Grade: 202 Pay Range: $15.75 -$18.90 Hourly
Candidates must have a passion for fulfilling the mission of The Salvation Army and must be articulate in presenting the same to others. Candidates must successfully pass the pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver's license. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Physical Demands/ Work Environment: This Position is required to do community business and office work. To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the individual is regularly required to talk and listen, stand, walk, sit and use hands. Individual must be able to regularly lift up to 30 pounds and occassionally lift up to 50 pounds. The use of Office and Computer Equipment is necessary. Vision abilities will require close vision. Work may be performed indoors and occasionally require outdoors to attend meetings. There is low to moderate noise level for this position. |
