Summary:

The Electrical & Lightning Systems Specialist primary task is to maintain electrical and lighting systems located throughout the Headquarters, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir site in good, operating condition. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, supervision, and management required to perform the maintenance, repair, and component replacement as required to maintain electrical ad lighting systems in accordance with the manufacturer's original specifications.

Work in any of the following: DLA Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, VA (HQC), Defense Supply Center Richmond, VA (DSCR), Defense Supply Center Columbus, OH (DSCC), DLA Distribution Center Susquehanna, PA (DDSP), New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintenance and repair services are for the general electric systems including all HQC non-security systems, parking lots lights, electrical cables; electronic and communications rooms equipment and all electrical systems, Details for the Electrical and Lighting Systems (Building) Equipment.
  • All tasks include Life Cycle Management Cyber Security.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in electrical and lighting system maintenance, preferably in a government or large-facility setting.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Journeyman or Master Electrician.
  • Experience working on federal contracts or military installations.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient lighting systems and controls.
