Acara Solutions is seeking a Component Engineer to join our client in Uniondale, NY. Our client is a world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of high-precision timing, frequency control, and synchronization products utilized in the expanding market of wireless telecommunication. Clients include the US military, government, and commercial sectors.

Here's what you'd do:

Component Engineer is required to support the control of electronic part requirements, including:
  1. Generation of Source Control Drawings (SCD's)
  2. Supplier Control Documentation Review
    • Part program requirements compliance (Program Approved parts lists/Nonconformance Reports/Test Documents)
  3. Incoming Inspection Data Review
    • Vendor/Manufacturer QPL CofC
    • Part specific data package
  4. Generation of Discrepant Material Report (DMR) and Resolution
  5. Data Management (Configuration, logging and storage/maintain electronic data bases i.e. Product Lifecycle Management systems (PLM), Access Database)
  6. Coordinate with Engineering, Material Control and Quality Assurance for disposition of part issues (i.e. GIDEP) & parts performance requirements.
  7. Familiarization with EEE parts selection, characterization/evaluation, screening, prohibitive/restrictive usage, traceability/Lot control, Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) and nuclear radiation requirements for space programs.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $90k-100k+ (DOE)

Hours: 7:30am-5:15pm (9/80 schedule) 100% on-site.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
1) Must have an Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) to apply!
2) Must have at least 3-years Component Engineering background in order to contribute in a more senior level.
3) Must have at 3-years Microsoft Office Suite, Access Database, and Product Lifecycle Management system.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
1) 5+ years' experience preferred

Due to the involvement in U.S. Department of Defense programs and the production of specialized equipment for military applications, this role will adherence to ITAR regulations.
