QUALIFICATIONS Degree/Education: EEG technicians shall possess a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, a background with Anatomy and Physiology. WRNMMC will provide on-site training required to sit for The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) Exam. Cost of the ABRET Exam will not be covered by WRNMMC. Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: All EEG Technicians shall possess a current, active, valid, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Red Cross (ARC). Proof of BLS verification shall be provided by the contractor prior to beginning work and at renewal date. Experience: EEG Technicians shall have a minimum of one (1) year of basic medical experience. The contract cardiovascular technician shall be proficient on the selection and placement of leads to detect electrical brain activity. Board Certification: None Licensure/Registration: None Compensation $39.45 per hour |
