Primary Responsibilities:

Using Primavera P6 software, Candidate must be able to perform the following:



  • Create, update, and analyze project engineering, procurement, and construction schedules and schedule reports.
  • Facilitates and guides Interactive Planning Sessions, where key project stakeholders plan and discuss the major project tasks, interaction with other tasks, and the duration and timing of such tasks utilizing NetPoint
  • Review each schedule activity with project stakeholders to confirm logic and duration, including equipment fabrication and delivery.
  • Resource load discreet schedule activities, based on estimated hours. Ensure overall discipline task durations are workable and achievable given resource constraints.
  • Develop and maintain detailed procurement vendor logic schedules.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction execution schedules, Advance Work Packaging, Handover processes, commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Coordinate with Simops System to show overlaps in Offshore shchedules.
  • Incorporate customer activities, milestones, etc.
  • Develop and issue the project baseline schedule, analysis, and basis.
  • Interact with engineering, procurement, construction, customer, and project stakeholders, obtaining activity progress.
  • Update the project schedule, usually weekly.
  • Interconnect schedule activities with EcoSys and progress deliverables in EcoSys.
  • Analyze schedule updates, review critical path, review schedule performance indicators, review schedule variances from last update and baseline. Recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain update logs from all contractor schedules.
  • Accountable for accurate and timely schedule reports, including variance analysis, critical path, summary, and detailed schedules.
  • Actively participate in project review meetings, providing clear and accurate schedule assessment. Provide proactive advice to drive successful project completion.
  • Incorporate approved project schedule changes into project schedules.
  • Ability to work schedule and organize multiple projects within a portfolio or program.
  • Create and maintain alternate schedule data or information reporting, using Power BI or other graphical reporting methods.
  • Perform schedule what if scenarios and analysis.
  • Develop the basis and perform schedule risk analysis.
  • Develop proposal schedules.
  • Ability to be solely responsible for all planning and scheduling duties on a project or portfolio of projects
  • Guide early career personnel with engineering and construction industrial schedule development, project dynamics, and company processes
  • Mentor and advise department personnel with industrial project scheduling techniques, practices, and industry norms.
  • Develop and educate company personnel on scheduling processes and standards.

Qualifications:

Technical and Industry Experience:



  • Minimum 18 years of experience in Engineering and Construction company Project Controls
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related fields; or extensive Project Controls or industry experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Working knowledge of NetPoint
  • Knowledge of, and the interrelationship of, a thorough technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, fabrication/construction/installation sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies, systems completion/hand-over, and commissioning and start up
  • Understanding of project control activities for oil and gas downstream, midstream, or upstream onshore or offshore, mining & metals, and related industries' projects
  • Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Innovative individual with a pro-active, analytical approach to problem identification and resolution
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


Other Requirements:



  • Minimum 3 days per week in Worley's Houston Rogerdale Office, or more at company's or project's discretion
