This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at La Jolla and remote. UC San Diego Health Sciences encompasses UC San Diego Health, the region's only academic health system, UC San Diego School of Medicine, one of the nation's top research-intensive medical schools, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Southern California's first public school of pharmacy, and Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science. The division of Medical Education within the UC San Diego School of Medicine consists of the following units: Undergraduate Medical Education, Admissions & Student Affairs, Diversity and Community Partnerships, Graduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education & Faculty Development, Simulation Education, Physician Assistant Education, Anatomical Services, Business Affairs and Educational Technology. The division supports the education, training and co-curricular activities of approximately 560 medical students, 90 physician assistant students, 1000 residents and fellows as well as the faculty, physician and healthcare providers at UCSD's School of Medicine, its' Medical Centers, and affiliates. The mission of UC San Diego School of Medicine Office of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is to provide education for physicians and other health care providers to increase competence, improve performance and enable the optimal provision of health care. UC San Diego CME implements and disseminates the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) policies, guidelines and compliance measures and ensures compliance with American Medical Association (AMA) requirements related to CME activities. UC San Diego CPD is a self- supporting unit and provides services related to the development and delivery of continuing education activities in support of the UC San Diego Health System and the School of Medicine faculty. Under general supervision, this position provides integral support for the unit and is responsible for the development and delivery of education serving the continuing education needs of the health profession. Activities may include live, in-person and virtual trainings, on-demand online modules, hybrid learning formats, and other emerging educational curriculum formats. Collaborates with other CPD team members in the management of registration services, evaluations & outcomes of online and hybrid education, and communication and marketing of activities. Collaborates with UC San Diego School of Medicine faculty subject matter experts, staff and leadership, and provides guidance, education and coordination of continuing education and faculty teaching development activities. Actively pursues and engages with educational partners with synchronous missions and goals, to secure additional business opportunities for the unit. Pursues funding for educational activities, while maintaining compliance with all accreditation rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Applies knowledge about curriculum, requirements and educational activities to coordinate professional health education programs. Coordinates and maintains program operations, which may include teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
