The Inventory Control Specialist will return and reconcile goods on work orders. This position will complete system transfers of products and raw materials between locations. The employee ensures inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods through the cycle counting system and analyze and remediate transaction problems.



  • Return and reconcile goods on work orders via the Putaway (PWT) process.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by cycle counting at a frequency that assures each SKU is counted at minimum, once per quarter.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to resolve routine problems.
  • Coordinate the rework process for the facility including, but not limited, to Nonconforming product, DNR, reclaims, and special projects.
  • Coordinate the process to address slow moving inventory.
  • Investigate manufacturing variances to ensure issues are documented and resolutions are worked.
  • Transact system transfers products/raw materials between bin locations, business unit locations, and 3rd parties as needed.
  • Support plant operations in Pre-Production planning and Finished Product Document upkeep.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate all internal and external Physical Inventories within the plant.
  • Create, evaluate, and update Inventory related work instructions and procedures to ensure that they are current and reflect any product changes.
  • Apply 6S throughout your work area and utilize lean methods for reducing waste and improving processes.
  • Provide an emphasis on safety to ensure compliance with all pertinent government regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Minimal travel required for this position.



Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent


      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



      • Must have thorough understanding of inventory principles and concepts.
      • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and attention to details.
      • General Quality & Safety Awareness.
      • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all shipping documents.
      • Inventory Management System (JDE).



      Experience and/or Training:



      • Forklift experience

      Employee must have the ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and push/pull 76-100 pounds occasionally.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
