Our composite design and fabrication expertise can be found on many defense programs.AEC provides a wide range of products including complete structural assemblies, flight critical components, primary and secondary structural elements for platforms such as the F-35 Lightning II, the CH-53K Heavy-lift Helicopter and the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM).

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cycle Count and Inventory Specialist to join our world-class aerospace team. This role is integral to maintaining inventory accuracy, driving operational efficiency, and supporting compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in inventory management, reporting, and material lifecycle processes, ensuring our operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

Cycle Counting and Inventory Accuracy



  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and correct root causes of inventory variances.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all cycle count activities for audit compliance.


Inventory Reporting and Analysis



  • Generate and analyze reports on inventory accuracy and trends.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve inventory control and reduce discrepancies.
  • Present inventory accuracy metrics to management regularly, highlighting risks and corrective actions.


Material Lifecycle Management



  • Monitor and identify materials nearing expiration or outlife limits.
  • Process expired or outlife materials by coordinating disposal or expensing procedures in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).


Process Improvement



  • Develop and implement best practices for inventory control and material handling.
  • Recommend and support enhancements to warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory procedures.
  • Train team members on inventory policies and the importance of maintaining accuracy.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or materials management, preferably in the aerospace industry.


Skills and Knowledge



  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with aerospace material handling, including shelf life and outlife management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.


Certifications



  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
