How You'll Perform the Role
- Accurately perform cycle counts on finish goods, WIP, and raw materials as detailed by the warehouse management team in order to achieve departmental KPI's.
- Calculate, document, and track inventory results daily.
- Count accuracy by location, SKU, and value.
- Research inventory discrepancies by conducting secondary counts, system (PRMS) evaluations, and performing transactional audits.
- Document errors identified and report on root cause / source to supervisory personnel on a bi-weekly basis.
- Maintain management tracking tools and update as required by management personnel.
- Provide weekly metrics related to cycle count accuracy to management team for checkbook reporting purposes.
- Manage Kanban inventories for assigned indirect / miscellaneous raw materials.
- Perform weekly / monthly production backflush transactions within PRMS.
- Identify discrepancy trends and collaborate with key stakeholders to institute inventory management best practices where applicable.
- Serve as a backup for material handlers, receiving clerk, and dock loaders / unloaders.
- Actively participate in the annual YE physical inventory counts and assist in the development of all associated processes and procedures.
- Always maintain a safe working environment and ensure that all company policies are adhered to throughout the facility. (Including the utilization of all required PPE for working in and around the production / warehouse operations, when operating equipment, and/or performing tasks outside of the common office areas.
What We Need From You
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years of work-related experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Knowledge of arithmetic and structured problem-solving tools and their applications, using these abilities to analyze and create proactive solutions to reduce or eliminate problems in order management and shipment planning, enhancing our ability to service customers, both internal and external.
- Ability to quickly and accurately input data into various computer software applications.
- Proficiency in Business computer systems functionality with the ability to move information accurately between the business computer system and other analytical/reporting programs.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, involving as many resources as necessary to bring the issue to quick and accurate resolution, involving department and plant management on an "as needed" basis.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision to complete job tasks.
- Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with suppliers, customers, management, and peers.
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, order management, performance metrics, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the accurate, efficient reporting of data to internal and external customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general data. (IE: SKU's, UOM, TI-HI, Case Pack Qty.)
- Ability to develop reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
