Radiology Supervisor - Ultrasound - Toms River, NJ

Job Overview:

In this role, the Ultrasound Supervisor oversees the daily operations, schedule, and workflow of the Ultrasound area.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School graduate
• Completion of an approved Ultrasound program that meets the requirements set by the RDMS
• Five years experience as a staff sonographer
• Must be certified by the RDMS or eligible to become certified within 6 months
• Registered in US Abdomen or US OB/GYN
• Vascular Certification Preferred

Essential Functions:

• Manages the technical and operational aspects of the department for efficient, cost effective and timely performance of diagnostic test results,
• Assumes responsibilities for procedural and system controls, problem solving, teaching, coaching and supervising,
• Maintains all necessary QC,QA and documents required by accreditation agencies,
• Maintains continuing education credits,
• Acts as the Manager in the absence of the Manager,
• Manages both US and the VL departments,
• The Supervisor will be responsible for staff evaluations, ACR accreditation, candidate interviews, assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff, staff payroll, and CT dose monitoring in both imaging departments.
• The Supervisor will work closely with Radiology Leadership, Senior Leadership and Radiologists as needed as well as with each team to promote teamwork and support Community Medical Center s Mission and Culture.
