missions :

Reliability Engineer

The primary role of the reliability engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This broad primary role can be divided into three smaller, more manageable roles: loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management (LCAM).

The purpose of the Reliability Engineer will be to develop and implement Ceva maintenance standards locally in order to improve availability and cost effectiveness of equipment.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:

  • Develop and implement maintenance reliability strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
  • Conduct reliability assessments and root cause analyses to identify and address equipment failures and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs using advanced technologies such as condition monitoring and predictive analytics.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment reliability, performance, and lifespan.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, standards, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex equipment issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Train and mentor maintenance technicians on reliability best practices, procedures, and tools.
  • Monitor and analysis of equipment performance data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in equipment design reviews and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) activities to ensure reliability considerations are incorporated into new equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in maintenance reliability engineering.
  • Lead small capital improvement projects.
  • Other duties as required.

Technical / Functional Competencies:

  • Proficiency in reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • MS Project, Smartsheet or similar PM software
  • Possesses a broad understanding of each engineering discipline.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • Language: English native or fluent

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in engineering, maintenance or operational excellence in an industrial environment or related experience

Other Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and computerized preventative maintenance programs are required.
  • Strong Lean experience is essential, especially Kaizen PDCA, 6S, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), Standard Work and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Strong mechanical ability and a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and PLC systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work in a multicultural workplace with a diverse customer base.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the responsibilities of the Reliability Engineer, the employee is required to walk, climb, talk, and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard. Often, the employee will be required to stand and walk to different areas of the site. The employee will need to be able to climb ladders and stairs frequently. This job will require close vision to be able to see a monitor, watch employees engaged in processes, and observe manufacturing operations. Some lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

Working Conditions:

Individual will be required to go into clean lab and manufacturing environments on occasions in which clothing changes and protective clothing and gear is required. This may include having to shower-in/shower-out. Both indoor and outdoor work is required with exposure to all potential weather conditions.

Travel Required:

Approximately 4 to 5 weeks/year for seminars or new equipment FAT/validation. Internation travel is a possibility.
