Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office located in New York or California.

The Capital Markets Associate is responsible for supporting the Capital Markets team in all elements of deal execution for the Technology and Healthcare sectors. The role works alongside industry teams and senior capital markets professionals to pitch new business and provide support in originating and arranging new syndicated loan transactions. Client facing interaction required. May provide training to incoming analysts or new hires.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with all stages of deal execution and syndication efforts, including drafting marketing materials, coordinating bank meetings, preparing lender models, tracking lender diligence, and managing the deal closing process.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Corporate Banking, Credit Solutions, Sponsor Finance, Credit Risk, and Loan Operations.
  • Interact with external stakeholders such as lenders, investors, and legal counsel. May participate in negotiations with borrowers and participating banks.
  • Support the review of financing documentation including commitment letters and credit agreements.
  • Closely follows transactions in the loan syndications and debt capital markets to spot trends and prepare loan market update materials.
  • Responsible for researching and constructing comparable company tables, analyzing recent M&A comps, and providing debt analysis in support of pricing and structuring transactions

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Credit analysis, Underwriting or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Credit analysis, Underwriting or Risk Management

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Finance/Economics

Syndications & Capital Markets, Commercial Finance, Commercial Banking experience

If based in San Francisco, California or New York, New York the base pay for this position is generally between $113,850.00 and $135,00.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
