Aspire is a program of Mass General Brigham that serves teens and young adults with social cognition challenges, including Asperger's Syndrome, High-Cognitive Autism, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, and autism spectrum disorder that focuses on helping teens develop increased self-awareness, social competency, and stress management skills. The Program Assistant is responsible for helping the Manager of Operations and Explorations Program Managers manage the day-to-day operations of the summer programs. Responsibilities include coordinate participant arrival and departure, organize program materials, provide program support to participants during some activities, coordinate supply needs for field trips, manage timecards for summer staff, manage inventory and help to ensure that summer staff can perform their jobs as efficiently and effectively as possible.
1. Attend a 40-hour orientation, all staff meetings, trainings, supervision, planning sessions, and every day of the program as scheduled. 2. Attend all required participant and family meetings, including orientation. 3. Maintain the health and safety of program participants and staff at all times. 4. Assist with program administrative needs before, during and after formal programming, including site set-up, clean up, scheduling, field trips, community service activities, etc. 5. Maintain the appropriate records and documentation related to the Policies and Procedures of Aspire. 6. Maintain the rules of confidentiality and all HIPAA expectations. 7. Maintain the health and safety of program participants and staff at all times. 8. Support compliance with inspectional services as specific program locations. 9. Respect the rules and regulations set forth by collaborating agencies; this includes work sites, Hale Reservation and other community spaces that Aspire shares and visits. QUALIFICATIONS Education Degree: Bachelor's DegreeField of Study: Enrolled in or graduate of undergraduate program. Required or Preferred Work Experience Prior experience working with neurodivergent children and/or adolescents Required or Preferred Have current First Aid/CPR certification.Training can be accessed through Aspire.
