Description
Summary of Position/Purpose: The Data Analyst will play a significant role in supporting the delivery of our growth strategy, supporting our customer-facing and operational teams with insight & data to help us make business decisions. This role will involve hands-on engagement with our business data & commercial agenda. The role will have responsibility for creating & maintaining reports & dashboards, providing analysis & working closely with our commercial teams to help us achieve business objectives. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Develop & maintain reports to help our stakeholders manage & grow our business
- Work on ad hoc data requests from our business teams
- Analyze business performance and
- Provide reporting on the results of business activities and identify learnings & recommendations
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Either college-level qualifications in a related field or 2+ years' experience in a commercially-focused analytical role
- Evidence of ability to build highly effective working relationships, draw on data to present recommendations in a compelling way and advocate for new ideas and changes when needed
- Excel & Power BI skills
- Query/scripting languages, e.g. SQL, M, R, Python are a plus, but not essential
- Web analytics (Google Analytics or similar) skills are a plus, but not essential
- Highly data-driven, with excellent understanding of mathematical concepts
- Good working knowledge of reporting & data management, analysis & visualization tools such as (but not exclusively) Power BI, Excel, SQL, Domo, Tableau
- Comfortable using appropriate tools to work with large, complex data sets
- Experience automating simple tasks such as data load and refresh is a plus
- Good understanding of basic commercial principles
- Strong written, interpersonal, communication and team working skills
- Enjoys challenges & solving problems; comfortable learning and tackling new tasks
- Curious & tenacious - always looking to understand their environment or explore and test new ideas, and has a burning desire to find insights in data
