Cox Automotive is hiring a Billing Specialist II position. This role is a customer-facing position responsible for handling inbound customer billing inquiries via both phone and email. This role is the first line of contact for customers. The individual will interact with various departments to support the customer and activities will include conducting a moderate level of research into the cause for a billing issue, processing credit memos or contract adjustments, and assisting the customer with billing-related requests. They are also responsible for managing the approval workflow for all credit requests and other customer facing processes.

Primary Duties / Key Responsibilities

  • Address customer inquiries, credit requests, account reviews, and other inbound billing related inquiries from external customers followed by documenting related discussions and research within Salesforce
  • Research and verify customer issues with Product, Operations, and Implementation teams to determine root cause and warranted remediation
  • Clearly and concisely present information in verbal or written form to both internal and external customers
  • Other projects and billing related customer responsibilities as needs arise


Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  • High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of billing-related experience , preferably in a customer-facing role. Any level degree or certification beyond HS Diploma or GED will have 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of billing processes and all order to cash systems (SAP, RMB, Microsoft AX) and solid product knowledge across numerous platforms
  • Ability to articulate issues, document resolution, and recognize when to escalate to seniors or manager
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to stay calm in high pressure situations, and speak confidently to internal and external customers


USD 19.57 - 29.38 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $19.57 - $29.38/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
