DESCRIPTION
The Associate Vice Chancellor for Leadership, Strategy and Engagement (AVC-LSE) is responsible for developing campaign and transformational gifts strategy, the development of personalized engagement, stewardship and communication strategies, overall results of a collaborative fundraising effort for prospective donors whose capacity to give to the University is a minimum of $1 million, and recruiting, managing and soliciting the global campaign cabinet and lead volunteers to ensure the philanthropic results from the highest level community, national and international leaders. The AVC-LSE will lead and support development of targeted and coordinated plans for prospects that aligns that prospect's deepest interests, passions and philanthropic objectives with the University's current or future initiatives, projects and programs. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor Advancement (VCA), the AVC-LSE is expected to work closely with the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, Deans, Faculty, the Assistant and Associate Vice Chancellors and frontline fundraisers for Advancement. The AVC-LSE will create the next generation of transformational gift philanthropists and campaign leaders resulting in exponentially increased national and international fundraising results. The AVC-LSE, in conjunction with the AVC-AOC, AVC-HS, AVC-UD and AVC-AAGPD, will assist in developing fundraising strategies and marshal internal support for fundraising proposals, bringing the best opportunity for success to each donor solicitation. The AVC-LSE will also assist with specific principal gift fundraising strategies and stewardship activities for the Chancellor, Volunteer Leadership, and Campaign Leadership (Honorary Chairs, International Chairs, Vice Chairs, etc.) positioning them with the highest-level leaders and prospects where they reside. In consultation, the AVC-LSE will be responsible for developing on a monthly basis, strategy and stewardship reports for the Chancellor on key prospects and for participating with the Chancellor, VC-A, and Assistant and Associate Vice Chancellors in the development of specific strategies for these "Critical Few". The AVC-LSE will also serve on the Advancement Senior Leadership and Management Team, which develops and drives key campus-wide fundraising strategies and campaigns. In direct support of the Chancellor's special initiatives, the AVC-LSE will lead vision planning and strategic project fundraising for the University's newest plans requiring approx. $5M-$10M+ in philanthropic funding. Critical to the success of the AVC-LSE will be the ability to continue the Leadership, Strategy and Engagement unit as a highly-respected, valuable partner to the Advancement team in the strategic engagement and personalized stewardship of donors. Both a leader and a facilitator, the AVC-LSE is expected to draw upon all assets of the University to develop fundraising strategies and highly customized stewardship plans that engage top tier donors and prospects in ways that respond creatively to their personalized interests and needs. The AVC-LSE is a hands-on and deeply involved strategic partner, and leads fundraising and stewardship efforts to meet the campaign objectives. Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on Background Check results. Must have access to reliable transportation. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Must be willing and able to travel. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $194,800 - $454,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $93.30 - $217.62 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
