What to Expect Tesla Gigafactory Nevada is looking for a Process Piping Designer to support bringing conceptual designs to life, producing cutting-edge detailed design of chemical and utility systems that are fully integrated with manufacturing processes. As a key contributor on our infrastructure group, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to design and build manufacturing facilities and process utility systems. This full-time employee position is located at our Gigafactory in Sparks, NV. What You'll Do Provide advanced drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining construction drawings, facilities layouts, and engineering drawings Produce complex technical drawings including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and pipe routing drawings for permit, construction, and fabrication Develops simple to mid-level designs/layouts through fabrication level 3D models and spool drawings Develop equipment and system layouts that confirm to building codes and standards and consider long-term O&M Prepares designs and bill of material estimates from general instruction Conduct field surveys and as-builts of 3D pipe routing Coordinate with other disciplines; work closely with our structural engineering team for pipe supports and seismic bracing; BIM engineers on overall modelling standards; system owners to understand overall process utility system capacities and performance What You'll Bring 4+ years experience in wet mechanical/piping drafting or process/chemical system design experience (E.g.
