What you will do...

This individual will work with plant leadership to identify, prioritize, and implement a comprehensive Quality improvement program within the plant. Lead a team to effectively drive improvement in the overall quality program within the Goldfish and Bakery operations for the Pepperidge Farm Business. You will lead a team and work cross functionally to improve critical aspects of the business, ultimately supporting a total organization of 250+ individuals and a $400 Million business. Provide plant leadership with guidance and support for next steps in the area of Quality improvement. Designs plant repeatable systems and drives implementation across all businesses and functions. Additional work in mentoring and training other leaders in the organization. Leads cultural change within the site around Quality improvement systems, tools, and behaviors.

What sets your team apart...

Must possess the ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence both hourly and salaried employees to embrace it, and lead the change initiative.

Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.

Must develop and maintain rapport with employees at all levels.

Must be able to present Quality concepts effectively to diverse groups ranging from hourly production workers to Plant Leadership Team members.

Establish and enhance a comprehensive daily direction setting process from the Quality team to plant leadership team level, ensuring system health through regular check-ins.

Identify and lead improvements in performance on key metrics such as Losses, Foreign Material events, Holds, and Specification adherence.

Facilitate problem solving activities to drive root-cause, sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence; Train employees at all levels on problem solving process and build advanced problem-solving capability.

Own development of Cookies Quality long term strategy creation (strategy development and deployment).

Partner with leadership team members to establish standards and processes related to daily management system implementation (Quality Incident Elimination, Standard Work, Cost Control)

Drive Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) thought process through DDS implementation and monthly functional check-ins

Partner with corporate Quality team to ensure standardization and sharing of best practices

What you bring to the table...

Associates Degree in Food Science/Biology or related field

1 + years in food manufacturing

It would be great to have...

BS Food Science / Engineering Degree or related field - 4 years

4 + years in food industry, sanitation experience preferred

Ability to lead large-scale, continuous improvement/organizational change initiatives.

Strong facilitation skills, with experience in training development and deployment.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.

Flexibility to work across shifts with occasional weekend support

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$86,500-$124,300

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
