Purpose of Position |
The Director of Slate Innovation provides overall vision, system administration, and support for the Slate
CRM system on campus. This position is responsible for the operational management of Technolutions. The Director offers consultative services for development and implementation of new use cases for additional offices across campus.
The primary objective is to maximize the efficiency of the
CRM for the lifecycle of constituent records, staff needs, while maintaining data integrity and security. Additionally, this role supports the reporting and analytics needs of the university and provides assistance to other enterprise systems on campus as needed. |
Primary Responsibilities |
- Optimize CRM processes, design and implement processes utilizing the Slate CRM to streamline operations and suggest appropriate uses of the CRM to relevant offices across campus to enhance efficiency.
- Serve as a communication link between offices on impact of possible changes when building new features which impact the life cycle of constituent records.
- Work closely with IT, the Slate Analyst, and the SLATE Manager to ensure accurate data exchange between the CRM and other enterprise systems like SAP.
- Develop, modify, maintain, and support custom reports to meet the university's ad-hoc and ongoing needs, complying with university, state, and federal mandates.
- Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and improvements to enhance system performance and data integrity.
- Ensure all CRM operations adhere to data security standards and compliance requirements, protecting sensitive information.
- Provide consultative services and training to campus offices on the effective use of the CRM, including the development and implementation of new use cases.

Qualifications |
Bachelor's Degree preferably in a technology-related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with Slate software, preferably in higher education.
In-depth knowledge of Slate
CRM system by Technolutions, including system administration, configuration, and optimization, strong understanding of data management principles, including data integrity, security, and lifecycle management, expertise in developing, maintaining, and analyzing custom reports to meet organizational needs and compliance requirements, ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including IT, administrative staff, and academic departments, strong analytical skills, excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly; excellent prioritization, time management, attention to detail and project management skills; understanding/skill in html and sql coding
