Position Title:Clinical Student Programs Coord Department:Nursing Student Programs Job Description:

General Description: Under general supervision, supports the hub of clinical student programs by coordinating education program activities, facilitating student shadowing opportunities, processing affiliation agreements, and interacting with employed students and prospective employees in all stages of their education journey.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates shadow opportunities for prospective students who would like to explore careers at OU Health.

  • Works closely with our strategic partners to foster a positive learning experience, and a pathway to employment.

  • Works closely with our HR teams to facilitate recruitment opportunities of students.

  • Assists with program registration, program setup/tear down, and collating evaluations.

  • Develops and creates presentation materials including relevant data.

  • Responsible for maintaining computer-based compliance programs including teaching others to use the system and troubleshooting the system.

  • Manages electronic databases.

  • Handles confidential information including employee and patient records.

  • Develops learning materials to support educators and hospital staff.

  • Facilitates and coordinates internal and interdepartmental communication among staff, managers, and educators.

  • Responds to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures.

  • Assists with special projects as needed.

  • Facilitates phone support between and among staff, managers, and the department.

  • Registers staff and non-employees for workshops and events.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 1 or more years professional work experience required. 2 or more years of technical, clerical experience preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: None required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Knowledge of web page development and education technological support capability.
