Job Description

As a Rack Assembler at DDN, you will play a vital role in building and assembling our industry-leading storage solutions that power some of the world's most data-intensive applications. With a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a passion for technology, you will work closely with our production team to ensure that every system we deliver meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. In this hands-on role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the success of our customers and the growth of our business, while developing valuable skills and experience in the exciting field of data storage. This is a temp to hire position located on-site in Chatsworth, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble DDN Storage's high-performance storage systems, following detailed assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, tools, and other materials
* Install shelves, panels, and brackets in proper alignment, ensuring a stable and functional structure.
* Perform measurements and adjustments to ensure accuracy and precision during assembly.
* Work closely with team members to complete projects within established timelines.
* Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and components.
* Cable and interconnect system components, such as storage enclosures, servers, and network switches, according to specified configurations and best practices.
* Collaborate with other production team members, including technicians, engineers, and quality assurance specialists, to optimize assembly processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all relevant ESD, safety, and security protocols.
* Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills, knowledge, and expertise in storage system assembly and troubleshooting.

Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certification in electronics, computer systems, or a related field preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, system integration, or a related production role, ideally within the data storage, server, or networking industry.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, work instructions, and assembly drawings.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement equipment.
* Familiarity with ESD safety practices, cleanroom protocols, and quality control procedures.
* Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
* Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
* Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods as needed.

Pay rate: $18.00/hr
