Job Overview

The Sr. System Engineer is responsible for providing infrastructure and system design services for video integration projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of operating room (OR) audio/video integration systems, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. As a subject matter expert (SME) for integration support and installations, this role ensures that systems meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties



  • Provides technical sales consulting in pre-sale situations to customers and sales reps. Technical consulting topics include providing insight into the unique capabilities of Tegris, discussing video and information flows and connections, advising on cost-effective configurations, and discussing potential unique configurations and enterprise solutions.
  • Provides system design services for Tegris projects including infrastructure planning, system design and documentation, cable plans and documentation.


  • Assists the sales force with completion of pre-sales scope definitions. Consults with sales team to advise on matching customer requirements to technical specifications and ensuring product, quote and installation accuracy.


  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including system diagrams, specifications, test plans, and integration workflows.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with 3rd party product partners to ensure Tegris systems are designed around the latest technologies.
  • Contributes to trade shows, demonstrations, trials, and other venues where Getinge products will be evaluated. Leads/assists with planning, logistics, and setup.
  • Provides feedback about product enhancements or bugs through service and engineering.
  • Works with marketing to develop and provide sales tools and demo tools.
  • Ensures adherence to company quality system processes, protocols, and SOP's.
  • Ensure all integrated systems meet regulatory requirements, including those related to safety, data security, and healthcare compliance (FDA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Stay current on emerging trends in audio/video integration, medical technology, and related infrastructure design, applying this knowledge to continuously improve solutions and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Management/Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Operating Room Audio/Video Integration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical knowledge in the assigned product line.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Excellent understanding of video integration technology.
  • Understanding of hospital IT departments, IT networking/connectivity and EMR/PACs systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, IEC, ISO) related to medical device integration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills with experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to relate successfully with customers of all kinds.
  • Excellent presentation and objection-handling skills.
  • Excellent planning and implementation skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.



Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions



  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
  • Travel requirements will be up to 50% and above.


The salary range for this position is from $96,000-118,000 per year with a 10% bonus, based on experience and location
