Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Specialist, Facilities Support - Real Estate Development and Facilities - Long Island.

In this role, the successful Facilities Support Specialist, under the supervision of the Facilities Operations Manager, will function as a key member of the healthcare technology management team, providing technical expertise and support for clinical systems, including the Healthcare Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role will focus on optimizing system performance, ensuring data integrity, and providing exceptional user support. The support specialist will also provide assistance with documentation of systems, policies and procedures as they relate to healthcare information management systems supporting the Clinical Engineering team.

Job Responsibilities:

* Reviews and documents maintenance procedures and tasks utilizing the healthcare maintenance management system.

* Coordinates healthcare technology management initiatives

* Identifies opportunities for workflow improvement and risk mitigation for the clinical engineering and facilities decision support team

* Manage reporting tools and dashboards both in the CMMS and external business intelligence systems.

* Assists with Environment of Care, security and compliance reporting as directed

* Documents and maintains business rules, data mapping, integration diagrams, technical specifications, reporting and integration requirements

* Assists Facilities Operations Manager with ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Healthcare CMMS, including but not limited to system upgrades, backups, and data quality control.

Technical Support:

* Provides technical support for CMMS, resolving complex technical and user issues.

* Collaborates with vendors and internal teams to resolve system issues.

System Optimization:

* Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement system optimizations to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.

* Monitor work order status, preventative maintenance schedules and asset status, and make sure they are up to date to maintain a current and accurate inventory of medical equipment.

* Manage data integrity and perform QA/QC to identify data anomalies and deficiencies in health technology management systems

User Support:

* Provide training and support for clinical system users. Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials.

* Log and track problems and work tickets with external vendor support

* Assist with management of services performed by external vendors

* Supports Facilities Operations Manager to maintain the standards of system nomenclature and business workflows for work requests, preventive maintenance programs repair work and inspections, etc.

* Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering or related field.

* 2 years of experience in biomedical engineering, maintenance management, clinical system support, administration, or related field.

* At least 2 years of experience working as an administrator in a CMMS system

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* Strong technical skills in clinical systems, including software, hardware, and database management.

* Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.

* Have excellent written and oral communication skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2-4 years of work experience in an administrative capacity in Nuvolo or ServiceNow;Certified Clinical Data Analyst (CCDA) or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,382.25 - $107,303.74 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
