Purpose:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead and support the Electrical Engineering team for projects in the US MMM (Mining, Minerals, and Metals) business. Manage small to large projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule adherence. Responsible for the Electrical Engineering team's output, technical integrity, and compliance with safety standards. Drive engineering excellence and adherence to industry codes.

We seek a self-motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills, adept at solving complex engineering challenges.

All candidates must have proper documentation that proves their ability to work in the United States.

This is a full-time position based at our Mesa, Arizona office, with potential project assignments in Tucson, Arizona.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead the Electrical Engineering team for Mining, Minerals, and Metals projects.
  • Oversee project design, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform electrical design and engineering tasks, including specifications and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage scope definition, estimation, and progress control of Electrical Engineering activities.
  • Lead RFP processes, estimations, detailed engineering, and field support.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable codes, electrical standards, and customer requirements in heavy industrial environments.
  • Support quality assurance and verification of engineering deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve engineering challenges while staying updated on industry advancements.
  • Provide technical guidance during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Offer construction management support as needed.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate staff, fostering professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with change management processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in site walkdowns, design reviews, and project meetings, incorporating feedback.
  • Manage coordination of multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations.
  • Oversee preparation, review, verification, and approval of key engineering deliverables.
  • Utilize engineering software, including Electrical 3D modeling tools such as Aveva E3D and Smart 3D.
  • Develop strategic pursuits and proposal content for Electrical Engineering initiatives.
  • Present technical and value-improving practices to clients.
  • Review and approve detailed engineering designs, ensuring quality and compliance.


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer within the mining industry.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering applications within heavy industrial environments. Experience in mining environments is preferred, but transferable experience from heavy industrial industries such as power generation, oil & gas, pulp & paper, and chemical processing will be considered.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering in the state of Arizona or the ability to obtain licensure within an expedited timeframe.
  • 2+ years of EPC/EPCM project experience is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • Familiarity with mining regulatory/MSHA certification and standards is preferred.
