This role requires a team oriented, highly organized and proactive approach to provide a full range of sales support to the Sales/ Business development team. This role closely monitors the market and industry intelligence which will drive the strategic and marketing plan, as well as be responsible for research and analysis of competitors. This role will understand key competitor strengths and weaknesses in order to assess opportunities and recommend strategies to capture these opportunities. This role also collaborates with other functional teams such as Marketing, Finance and, Clinical and Integration services to achieve business results. This role will gather competitive market intelligence to fully define incumbent performance and competitor strengths and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities:
  • Support the sales teams by maintaining important relationships with the leadership of key strategic business partners. Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for proposal development for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses based on knowledge of the market and intel gathered.

  • Consult with Implementation team for flawless strategic partnership implementation and execution of pull through strategy.

  • Own the end-to-end process for collecting and disseminating market and competitive intelligence assessments broadly across the organization.

  • Act as a liaison for internal departments for all things BH Sales/ marketing campaigns.

  • Actively engage/educate and develop community stakeholder relationships at all levels increasing brand awareness in the marketplace.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with local, state and federal agencies, employers and other parties to develop/maintain clear pathways forsales expansion.

  • Identify relevant trends and market opportunities, providing guidance and development on marketing materials to support outreach efforts.

  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping duties/support for contact management, trend analysis and reporting.

  • Manage customer pricing requests.

  • Create Business Intelligence reports.

  • Prepare Finalist presentations.

  • May be required to contribute to projects and activities not included in other principal accountabilities to assist in the accomplishment of business objectives and professional development.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • 5 years experience preferably in Behavioral Health Sales or HealthCare.

Knowledge:
  • Active knowledge of addiction medicine/behavioral health industry/markets.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, time management and ability to utilize reporting and CRM software platforms.

  • Proven ability to interact and present ideas and strategies.

  • Strong sense of urgency with the drive and knowledge to navigate multi-level relationships with complex customers.

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to connect and engage people openly and build rapport.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with various teams.

Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware

Salary Range:

$96,300 - $131,565

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
