The Product Manager is the voice of the customer. This key position reports to the Vice President of Portfolio and Services for Life Science with a dotted line to the Managing Director of HPNE. This position provides business, engineering and sales support for the HPNE product portfolio. This position is responsible for overseeing all facets of the product lifecycle. Along with the other key stakeholders the PM is ultimately responsible for the product portfolio's overall success and profitability. This role requires strong leadership and proven track record of negotiating skills while gaining cooperation of others within all the appropriate cross functional teams in Getinge Life Science.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Develop a product technology development plan
  • Develop a market driven product definition
  • Manage product requirements and specifications
  • Create product datasheets
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Engineering, Sales and Marketing) and Getinge teams
  • Manage products positioning and establish competitive profitable pricing models
  • Collaborate with Sales to gather and share voice of customer (VOC) feedback and report/inform market requirements, important trends and competitive information
  • Support sales and distributors at customer meetings, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences to include product support, trials, demonstrations, and presentations
  • Measure product time to market strategy
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and maintain marketing deliverables and campaigns focused on generating revenue
  • Monitor and report relevant product KPIs and product ROI
  • Oversee product activities
  • Monitor and report on product budget, forecast and year-over-year growth
  • Manage the phase in and out planning
  • Identify and examine competitors' pricing strategy and distribution channels to gain competitive edge
  • Create the product improvements roadmap



Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering or another technical field or an equivalent combination of education and product management work experience
  • A strong technical background and an understanding of the development process in the bioprocessing industry
  • At least 5 years of similar experience within the bioprocessing industry focusing on business-to-business sales
  • Experience in market segmentation and product life cycle
  • Proven track record of determining customer requirements and translating them, through the development process
  • Solid track record of building pricing strategies
  • Experience with all types of promotional approaches and creating branding
  • Successful relationship management and sales support
  • An understanding of distribution requirements
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and communicate with people at all levels in an organization
  • This position requires approximately 20% travel


Salary range: $115,000- $155,000, depending upon experience and location + 15% bonus target.
