In this role, you will be an integral part of a nationwide sales team developing and managing an assigned territory. You will have the opportunity to provide patients with rare diseases with the life-changing and potentially life-saving treatment options they deserve.
- Provide critical oversight on matters related to the project and responsible for building external relationships with recognized experts, HCP's and prioritized external stakeholders
- Develop deep product and competitor knowledge as well as understanding local and regional market trends
- Assist and coordinate critical activities with physicians and office staff through the drug initiation process, product training, patient support programs and follow-up where applicable
Essential Requirements:
- BA/BS degree from an accredited institution (MS preferred)
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience and/or biologic/specialty experience
- 1+ years of Oncology experience or 3+ years of Clinical Oncology, Oncology Diagnostics, Oncology Supportive Care, Oncology Specialty Pharmacy, Patient Care skills and direct physician interface
- Ability to travel which will likely include overnights, weekend travel or extended stay in geography dependent upon business needs. This is a regionally based selling role and actual travel will depend upon the specific geography being covered
- Mobility - Agreed upon flexibility to deploy, within 2 weeks, to a newly assigned territory which may include overnight and/or weekend travel up to 60%
- Valid driver's license. Must be able to drive or operate a vehicle. Driving is an essential function of this role
Responsibilities:
- Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key accounts with the goal of maximizing sales
- Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers
- Plan andorganize activities in order to achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities
- Deliver current and comprehensive clinical brand presentations to physicians and other appropriate health care professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products
- Develop a complete understanding of the health care delivery system within each assigned customer, including the physician hierarchy, key pharmacy personnel, clinical nursing staff, etc.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of each assigned customer account including strategic goals, value drivers, key access stakeholders, relevant business metrics, and unique challenges/emerging needs
- Develop and deepen strategic partnerships. Account interactions to include but are not limited to Oncology 'C-suite' executives and key population health decision makers
- Engage accounts proactively to achieve access in line with established sales goals
- Co-creation of innovative partnership opportunities and solutions with key customers. Solutions to be developed through problem-solving and aligning Sanofi needs with customer needs
