The Client Services Manager (CSM) is assigned to multiple customer accounts representing all Syneo's channels, e.g. Field Team, Engagement Center, REMS, MSL, etc. and has primary account management responsibility.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact in all operational matters related to client concerns and needs.
  • Connection point for all internal Subject matter Experts (SMEs)
  • The role must build and strengthen internal and external client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate artifacts including meeting recaps, agendas, timelines, workplans, contract updates and renewal dates, etc.
  • Must be able to navigate multiple technology systems; this includes a willingness to adapt and learn new systems.
  • Work with National Business Directors (NPD), Account Leaders and other internal teams to develop strategic plans and ensure KPIs are being met.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to enhance ability to connect appropriate internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell to clients.
  • Role requires ability to excel at indirect authority.
  • Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs.
  • Proactively manage all assigned accounts, making sure they receive services that are within their budget and meet their needs.
  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business; build partnerships with key account stakeholders, e.g., Account Activation, Client Service Specialists, workstream leads, etc.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong oral/written communication skills, including established presentation skills, meeting recaps, PowerPoint decks, project workplans, and project timelines.
  • Excellent customer service skills - internal and external colleagues and customers.
  • Strong analytical capacity; appreciation for data.
  • Diligence, kindness, and courage.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving - significant comfort with ambiguity.
  • Creativity and dedication to fun.
  • Aptitude towards usage of automated systems (learning management, expense reporting, travel administration, etc.)
  • Ability to appropriately escalate - and to create suggested plan of action/correction.
  • Comfort level with organizational change including systems upgrades and process improvement.
  • Must be comfortable navigating stressful situations.
  • Must be interested in performance and process improvement.
  • Must be open to receiving coaching and feedback; ideally is wired to seek out feedback.
  • Courageous; willingness to speak your mind and have a point of view appropriately and professionally.
  • Ex or current athlete (for the mindset not the physicality)
  • Previous account management or project management experience
  • Life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
