Job Roles

  • Drive in a safe and timely manner the mobile van to various locations across communities where FHCSD provides PACE programs and services.
  • Register, secure, and transport participants and/or items to and from locations.
  • Routes and destinations may change daily based on program and service locations.
  • Conduct a daily safety inspection of mobile van; inspect the interior, exterior, brakes, headlamps, and taillights and report mechanical malfunctions or other problems as required.
  • Responsible for daily vehicle cleaning, ensuring routine fueling, checking oil and fluid levels, cleaning windshield, and headlamps, and maintaining mobile van in clean and safe operating condition.
  • Keep mobile van maintenance records current, coordinate and schedule routine and episodic vehicle maintenance.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, promptly, and thoroughly by department standards, i.e., vehicle logs and entering patient data into E.M.R.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
  • Current American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for the operation of the assigned vehicle; DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle-related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.

Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)

  • 1-year related experience preferred.
  • Possess safe and good driving skills.
  • Knowledge of the San Diego area and surrounding communities.
  • Ability to drive in all types of traffic, roads, and weather conditions.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with and relate to diverse staff and clients courteously and professionally.
  • Ability to maintain vehicle records and perform routine checks on a motor vehicle.

$21.00 - $24.66

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
