About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion: Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment. DESCRIPTION Manages staff involved in cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas and public restrooms using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Follows established infection-control practices to ensure a clean and safe environment. Oversees biohazardous waste disposal process according to established procedures and quality standards. Follows established procedures for dealing with potential hazards. Monitors inventory and inspects equipment for repair and / or replacement. Manages Linen Services operations and staff lab coat ordering. Under direction, responsible for the supervision and coordination of custodial operations for an assigned area. Instructs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines and procedures. May perform custodial duties part of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of three (3+) or more years of relevant experience. Experience and proven success in working knowledge in custodial and housekeeping services. The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences. Understanding of basic safety regulations and issues. Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based applications. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a healthcare setting. Blood born pathogen and sharps disposal training. Knowledge of personnel management and labor/employee relations and demonstrated ability to apply clinical and business judgment, management concepts, and counseling for all personnel on daily operational issues. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $53,800 - $91,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $25.77 - $43.58 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
