Reliability Software Engineer I

Our team owns analytics and infrastructure development for Quality & Reliability Testing of Storage Products from HDD/SSD Devices to Systems & Object Storage found in Data Centers worldwide.

We support Product Assurance, Design Engineering, Customer Technical & Factory Teams across the company. We utilize industry standard software engineering technologies and Agile / SAFe processes to develop & automate analytic tools and infrastructure for Seagate's next-generation storage product designs.

Working in this team, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise in product development & manufacturing lifecycles while developing advanced analytics, tools, and data infrastructure to help drive faster cycles of learning and decision making.

You will be responsible for developing and improving reliability/quality analytic tools and infrastructure to support the qualification work during the entire product development cycle for Seagate HDD, SSD, systems and solution products.

Your activities and responsibilities may include:

• Developing and improving software analytic tools and infrastructure
• Designing new automation techniques to drive continuous improvement into the global test and analytic infrastructure
• Learning and ensuring our tools and infrastructure adhere to the latest industry security standards
• Collaborating with other members in the software teams to drive continuous improvement on codebases and processes
• Working with product team and functional teams on understanding the data and developing insightful analytics
• Investing time and effort to drive your personal career development

• Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks
• Follow existing processes, yet be motivated and able to drive continuous improvement
• Strong problem-solving skills and innovation of creative solutions to difficult problems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong background in Python, Javascript, and web frameworks
• Experience or background in full stack application development
• Efficient with Linux operating systems

• Bachelor or Master student in Data Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines
• Experience with additional programming languages is helpful
• Knowledge of docker and/or other container platforms is a plus

The estimated base wage range for this position is $ 28.85/hr - $ 37.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
