Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose |

In response, we created a Student Success Hub known as the
HIVE to more effectively serve our students.
The position is responsible for providing direct support and specialized services to programs to ensure that Benerd School of Education students: (1) complete their degrees in a timely manner, (2) receive support in meeting their personal and professional goals/aspirations, and (3) feel cared for and supported during their educational journey.
The
HIVE in Benerd is responsible for providing ongoing student services, undergraduate program advising, graduate program student services, advisement tracking, program admission to credential programs, clearance for student teaching, recommendation of credentials, processing of registration for non-degree courses and programs, and working with the Assistant and Associate Dean in gathering and collecting, entry, matriculation and exit data required for accreditation and assessment. |
Essential Functions |
The Coordinator of Field Experience and Credential Analyst reports to the Credential Manager and is responsible for:
Fieldwork Coordination:
- Support the Director of Field Experience and Credential Manager in establishing fieldwork placement and MOUs and determining appropriate mentors and supervisors.
- Collaborate with HIVE managers to audit academic progress through degree works after each term and report to faculty advisors. Flag students who do not meet or are missing fieldwork requirements.
- Audit grade requirements after each term. Alert the Credential Manager and Student Services Manager of issues as this can affect credential recommendations or course registration.
- Manage credential repository with the use of OnBase and Salesforce.
- Supports Credential Manager with SMR, data entry, and any other tasks as needed.
Record Keeping and Credentialing:
- Maintains the All Student file to ensure information is up to date-and accurate.
- Maintain Student Master List to ensure all new students are listed.
- After admissions, proactively ensure new students are set up for fieldwork/student teaching/interning and that all documents are received.
- Recommend students for credentials per Credential Manager.
School/Partner Relations:
- Assist with the timely processing and renewal of the Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with school districts and other partners.
Program Administration:
- Work collaboratively with HIVE managers and faculty for new student orientation logistics.
- Prepare, maintain, and track academic and/or operational records, verifying information, reconciling to Banner, and resolving academic and/or operational issues.
- Serve as backup to the Student Support Services for UG and Degree Completion staff members.
- Collaboratively coordinate special events and meetings for various programs/initiatives in the school.
- Support programs, school, and college in other duties, as needed and/or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree.
- One (1) year of experience managing records.
- One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Demonstrated customer service skills, in providing warmth, empathy, and responsiveness.
- Demonstrated experience working to improve processes to help serve customers more effectively.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of and experience in teacher credentialing in California.
- Experience with Banner, Argos, OnBase, Salesforce, and other university systems.
- Experience with Pacific's systems, processes, and policies.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with use of computer and phone.

Hiring Range |
$20.16 - $26.70 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
