As a Services Delivery Manager focused on Migrations, you will be driving new service opportunities related to migrating customer workloads to Snowflake, working with both customers and internal stakeholders. You will interact hand-in-hand with senior stakeholders on opportunities to improve our migration service and delivery. You will work across customer organizations and multiple Snowflake teams to ensure customers' applications are successfully migrated, optimized for Snowflake, and scale to the needs of their business. Success is defined by the SDM's ability to develop a quality migration service strategy per customer, capture and report on key migration metrics, identify upsell opportunities related to migrations and Snowflake adoption, and quickly become the client's trusted advisor on all things migration to Snowflake.

This role is remote and can be performed anywhere in the United States with a preference for the Central timezone.

AS A SERVICES DELIVERY MANAGER, YOU WILL:
  • Be a project management expert on all aspects of migrations to Snowflake, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization, across a variety of project and service types.

  • Provide delivery quality oversight and guidance for migration engagements by assisting in the creation and execution of the overall vision for service delivery and client satisfaction, ensuring adherence to migration best practices.

  • Own, manage, and communicate the operational relationship with assigned clients undergoing migrations, including the creation, implementation, and tracking of relationship roadmaps focused on successful migration and ongoing Snowflake utilization.

  • Manage key migration projects by communicating effectively with project team members, management, and project stakeholders on status, issues, risks, and project goals and objectives through clear project documentation, meetings, and any required follow-ups.

  • Proactively provide input into the development of migration best practices, methodologies, and training materials for the Professional Services team.

  • Integrate migration-specific knowledge into practical configuration tactics, techniques, and procedures to ensure teams deliver well-rounded and well-developed migration solutions.

  • Work with Professional Services Practice Teams and Sales Account Teams to facilitate practice area enablement and support sales pursuits - scoping migration projects, estimating work, creating delivery proposals, and providing regular delivery updates for ongoing projects.

  • Work with Customers, System Integrators specializing in migrations, and Technology Vendors on migration project pursuits, cadence, and project progress.

  • Provide guidance and a vision on how to resolve customer-specific migration challenges, own escalations, and high-profile situations.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's migration tools and offerings.

  • Determine areas for process improvements within both the client's existing environment and Snowflake's migration process.

OUR IDEAL SERVICES DELIVERY MANAGER - WILL HAVE:
  • 7+ years of experience in a Services Delivery role (or similar capacity) dealing with complex, technical implementation projects, with a strong focus on data warehouse, database, or application migrations.

  • Track record of delivering on PS revenue targets for a set of accounts, including the ability to prioritize multiple, complex migration projects and deliverables simultaneously (project management).

  • Direct experience in the Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and/or Cloud field, with specific experience related to migrations.

  • Proven ability to communicate and translate effectively across multiple groups from design and engineering to marketing, advertising, and business development, with a focus on migration terminology and concepts.

  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to articulate migration strategies and benefits to a business and technical audience (including senior level executives at large enterprises).

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in a client support and advisory technical role (Solution architect, system administrator, technical account manager, or equivalent) with migration expertise.

  • Deep understanding of various database technologies, ETL processes, and data modeling.

  • Experience with migration assessment tools and methodologies.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $118,000 - $165,100.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
