We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence and Data (AI&D) group, focusing on deploying and managing configurations for our integration platform using cloud-native infrastructure. The role involves managing and optimizing microservices hosted in the AWS ecosystem, leveraging AWS various services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and integration technologies, with a passion for automation using AI/ML frameworks, scalability, and reliability.

This role requires ability to consistently communicate across multiple channels (Teams, emails, meetings, conversations), proactively identifying blockers and escalating as needed, organizational skills to support the team in maximizing its performance and ensuring successful delivery of projects

Responsibilities:

Deployment and Configuration Management:

  • Deploy and manage MuleSoft Runtime Fabric environments, ensuring they are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.

  • Automate the deployment and configuration of microservices in AWS using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.

  • Manage the configuration and deployment of various AWS various services to support integration and microservices architectures.

Monitoring and Logging:

  • Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Sumo Logic or NewRelic and AWS CloudWatch.

  • Implement log aggregation and analysis using Logstash and integrate with other systems for real-time monitoring and incident response.

  • Monitor and manage Kafka clusters, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.

CI/CD Pipeline Development:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft and microservices deployments using tools like Jenkins, uDeploy and GitHub

  • Ensure smooth and automated deployments across development, testing, and production environments, minimizing downtime and manual intervention.

  • Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) pipelines that use Terraform.

Data Streaming and Integration:

  • Configure and manage data streaming and integration using change data capture (CDC) and Kafka for real-time data processing.

  • Ensure seamless integration between on-premises systems, cloud environments, and third-party services.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and manage security best practices for MuleSoft Runtime Fabric and AWS infrastructure, including IAM roles, security groups, encryption, and secrets management.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards for data protection, auditing, and logging.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and architecture teams to design and implement robust, scalable solutions.

  • Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving issues in runtime environments, including performance bottlenecks, service outages, and configuration errors.

  • Document processes, configurations, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for integrating AI/ML models in automation of IaC and Application build/deploy pipelines

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, and configuration management.

  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric or equivalent integration platform, including deployment, configuration, and management.

  • Extensive experience with various AWS services and related tools.

  • Strong background in deploying and managing microservices architectures in AWS using Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including pipeline development, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools like ELK Stack, Logstash, Kibana, and AWS CloudWatch.

  • Familiarity with data streaming tools like Kafka and change data capture for real-time data integration.

  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM, VPC, and encryption techniques.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

  • Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent

  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$102,500-$175,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
