ABOUT THE JOB:

The Manager, Supply Chain will support corporate strategy in driving operational excellence in supporting inventory management and supply planning improvements. This role reports directly into the Sr Director, Supply Chain and will drive highly visible and accurate inventory within the WS | MM North American branch network. This role will create and drive inventory management processes and training with a goal to establish world class accuracy levels in inventory and planning. This will be accomplished improved process development and by leveraging SAP as a planning and reporting system.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Works closely with accounting and Finance to develop best practice cycle policies and procedures & training on branch physical count and cycle count routines.
  • Schedules physical inventory count frequency and ensures completion of scheduled tasks.
  • Works closely with Regional Materials Management Supervisors to provide accurate inventory results and error reconciliation.
  • Collaborates with accounting and operations to ensure monthly branch material consumption is aligned with expectations.
  • Develops inventory forecast plan for input consumption materials and VAPS materials by working with various stakeholders.
  • Tracks forecast accuracy and consumption vs forecast.
  • Works closely with various stakeholders to manage aged inventory plan
  • Oversees supply planning in order to support inventory reduction plans
  • Develops and conducts field level training on inventory policies and SWIs



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



  • Ensures KPIs are in place and adhered to that include but not limited to:

    • Branch inventory record accuracy
    • Measure scrap rates by reason code in order to drive improvements
    • Forecast accuracy



EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required.
  • Demonstrated, strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work independently while developing process improvements that focus on safety, customer service, financials and operations customer service.
  • Ability to develop and conduct training with various WS | MM stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates skills to project manage cross-functional projects from inception through implementation.
  • Demonstrates skills to lead and manage direct and indirect teams through a matrix style organization.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management or 8or more years with a proven track record of leadership in a supply chain, financial management or operations-based roll.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management/engagement with the field.
  • Analytical thinker with an understanding of broader supply chain initiatives.
  • Ability to create ad hoc performance analysis and identify corrective action(s) when needed.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and vendors.
