About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion: Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment. Candidates with Big Box Retail Experience Preferred; No previous hospital or medical device experience is required. We are looking for people with strong customer service backgrounds to fill these positions. The primary location for this position will be Hillcrest but will be required to float to all UCSD locations. DESCRIPTION Under general supervision of a Storehouse Supervisor, the Storekeeper learns and perfects the following skills: performs warehousing activities; issues medical supplies, receives and delivers packages and medical supplies, responds to clinical unit requests for supplies and performs Storekeeper responsibilities. Orders receives and replenishes medical supplies for clinical units; cleans, straightens and restocks medical supplies anticipating the needs of the units. Becomes knowledgeable of hospital medical supplies and inventory. Is being cross-trained in the stocking and replenishment of 39+ clinical units. Performs transfer and storage activities of mattresses, commodes, etc. Operates manual and powered equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum one (1) year of previous Storekeeper experience in a large, complex Healthcare environment; or equivalent combination of education/experience or recent related experience. Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, fractions, etc. Demonstrated ability to read and write in English. Excellent English communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Retail or stocking experience. Customer service experience. Hospitality experience. Knowledge of the physical layout of clinical areas that are serviced by Supply Chain Management Services. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. May be required to work at multiple sites (Hillcrest and La Jolla hospitals, CALM, KOP, and Rancho Bernardo locations). Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $52,430 - $52,430 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $25.11 - $25.11 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
