The Assistant Director of Gift Compliance serves as a strategic partner and colleague of the Advancement team and supports the growth and development of philanthropy and engagement at the University of Arkansas. The Assistant Director oversees gift compliance for the office of Gift Administration and in accordance with industry standards, manages the comprehensive policies, processes, and daily tasks related to gift acceptance, documentation, reporting, and compliance. This position works to strategically balance donor intent with the mission of the University of Arkansas. The Assistant Director administers the gift agreement processes, procedures, and best practices, ensuring agreements are compliant, reliable, and meet all requirements for administration and donor intent. From the outset of a gift agreement, and to assure successful receiving of gifts, the Manager maintains collegial relationships and seeks out proactive measures to work with and assist colleagues in Gift Administration, front-line fundraisers, the Proposal Writer, the University of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas Foundation ledgers, and general counsel's office. Reporting directly to the Director, Gift Administration, the Assistant Director embodies the competencies and values of Advancement. Other duties as assigned. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
