Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and managing onboarding, education, and competency maintenance. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective leadership and hands-on support in assigned nursing unit(s) or area(s). The Nurse Supervisor fosters a collaborative environment that encourages shared decision-making and continuous improvement in nursing and patient care outcomes. This position is accountable for maintaining patient care quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness in collaboration with physician and nursing leadership. The Nurse Supervisor works closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and serves as a key resource for staff, physicians, students, and other stakeholders. They supervise clinical staff, ensuring care is delivered at the highest standard while modeling professional nursing practices. In addition, the Nurse Supervisor supports the management of personnel, budgets, and material resources. They may take responsibility for unit operations in specific areas or during the manager's absence. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $128,800 - $252,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $61.69 - $120.79 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
