The Impact You Will Have

As the Director, HR Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor and leader, directing the strategic and operational execution of human resources activities in alignment with business objectives for designated client groups. This role provides overall leadership and direction, co-creating and implementing a clear vision to support the business unit's strategic objectives. As a key business partner, the Director leads the team of HR business partners while also assuming direct HR business partner responsibilities for a functional area of the company. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this individual partners with ELT members to support the achievement of short- and long-term business and department goals. Leveraging a deep understanding of business operations and human resources best practices, the HRBP Director drives talent and organizational development initiatives, utilizes data-driven insights to support decision-making, and facilitates organizational change partnering heavily with HR Center of Excellences (COEs). These partnerships will enable us to leverage specialized expertise, share best practices, and drive strategic HR projects that align with our organizational goals. This role requires exceptional consulting and coaching skills to guide employees and leadership through complex HR challenges, ensuring alignment between HR programs and business objectives. This Director provides proactive HR leadership and consultation to client groups, acting as a key advisor to leaders and delivering HR programs. Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs), providing ongoing coaching, support, and problem resolution. Lead, coach, and develop the HRBP team to ensure high performance.

  • Create a climate where people demonstrate curiosity, candor, courage, and collaboration to drive performance. Lead with a strategic mindset, fostering an inclusive and accountable learning culture. Inspire and motivate at all levels, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and appreciation for differing perspectives. Role model our enterprise leadership commitments of accelerating change, inviting authenticity, and growing resiliently.

  • Provide strategic HR partnership to executive leadership and teams, primarily supporting ELT with large and complex projects. Build relationships and trust with senior leaders, acting as a coach, consultant, and thought partner.

  • Create forward-thinking strategies that diagnose business unit needs, connect, and deploy team capabilities, and consult with customer groups on operational strategies to improve business performance through people.

  • Partner with business leaders and talent acquisition to develop hiring plans, support business objectives, and advance business priorities. Provide advice on performance management, talent management, succession planning, compensation, coaching, and talent reviews.

  • Support organizational design changes, change initiatives, and succession planning execution. Help organizations navigate transitions smoothly, ensuring employee engagement and informed decision-making.

  • Utilize data analytics, trends, and metrics to develop, implement, and evolve HR strategies. Drive informed decision-making by using data to identify trends, determine root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal changes. Foster an environment of continuous improvement within HR and the business by establishing new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency.

  • Organizational Design:create an efficient and effective framework that supports the organization's strategy and enhances overall performance.

  • Strategic Thinking:Align HR strategies with business goals, understanding the organization's long-term objectives and designing structures that support these goals.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership/management roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, or related field

  • Proven ability to collaborate well with senior executives and leaders, leveraging strong intellectual, conceptual, and analytical skills.

  • Experience supporting multiple business units and shared services, executing organization-wide talent initiatives in a dynamic, complex, and growing organization.

  • Knowledgeable in multiple facets of HR including org design, strategy development, talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards/compensation, performance management, employee assessment and development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, and HR systems.

  • Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions about organizational design, including understanding workforce analytics and using data to drive improvements.

  • Strong communication skills - ability to articulate a variety of issues to different audiences and tailor messages accordingly.

  • Experience in influencing and building strong relationships and networks.

  • Demonstrated ability to respond to changing and sometimes ambiguous situations. Solicits and applies customer feedback to modify thinking, improve processes, and solutions.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master's degree in human resources, business administration, industrial psychology, organizational development, or related field

  • PHR/SPHR Certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $132,300.00 - $178,600.00 - $224,900.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
