Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer for a contract with our client in St. Paul, MN.


The candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years' experience in QA Test Automation roles developing automation framework, developing & executing test scripts.
  • Five (5) years' programming experience in one or more of the following common languages - JAVA, C#, C++.
  • Three (3) years' experience developing automation framework, developing & executing automation test scripts in a large enterprise IT environment using agile methodologies.
  • Three (3) years' experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins and test management tools like IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally & written) test plans, expectations, updates, progress, issues, and successes in a timely & clear fashion.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve using the modern testing methodologies; thinking beyond expectations of the QA process on how automation integrates to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), improving the automation framework.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize features, test cases and his/her activities so that testing goals are achieved.
  • Experience in designing and developing an automation framework using page-object model.
  • Experience with software development for large-scale applications and/or leading automation testing initiatives for large-scale implementation.
  • Experience in multiple programming languages and software development technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Experience programming in Java using Eclipse as the Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
  • Experience in database concepts, database design, implementation and writing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries.
  • Knowledge of open-source automation testing tools (i.e. Selenium, SoapUI, etc.).



Job/Project Description:

Client is seeking vendors to provide Quality Assurance resources to bring high visibility complex projects to successful completion, to enable Operational and System Modernization technical solutions to be deployed and fully operational. Working in a team environment with other quality assurance analysts, developers, project managers, business analysts, architects, and subject matter experts, the team will be given a set of tasks to complete as each product progresses towards production launch.

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer will be a full-time resource that is expected to develop and execute manual test plans and scripts for all phases of testing, communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all resources involved in a project, and report defects in a timely and accurate fashion while managing multiple priorities and fostering an environment of team building and coordination. The resource will also mentor client Quality Assurance and Business Analyst resources in Quality Assurance Best Practices and promote the client Quality Assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Design, develop and execute automated test scripts.
  2. Design test strategies, plans and scripts for large-scale applications and test suites.
  3. Perform automated testing, regression testing and keep track of all the new developments.
  4. Produce evaluated test reports and take part in software walkthrough.
  5. Create or work with the Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor and/or QA Lead to create the Level of Effort (LOE) estimate, Test Strategy and Test Plan for all testing activities within the project.
  6. Work with Business Analysts (BA), Developers, Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts, and Database Administrators (DBA) in defining detailed and reusable Functional, System Integration, and Regression Test Cases and completing Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  7. Assist the Performance effort including determining business flows, scripting, and general Performance/Load testing.
  8. Communicate effectively, provide statuses, and escalate issues to the appropriate resource(s) in a timely manner.
  9. Attend and participate in the Defect Triage and Review meetings.
  10. Complete and maintain required QA documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  11. Provide QA leadership to assigned project and support to the Functional QA team if requested.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  13. Provide knowledge transfer.


Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $70- $75
