Savvas has a nationwide Legal Department responsible for a wide range of corporate legal matters supporting the organization. As a summer intern in the Legal Department, you will assist our attorneys in a variety of legal matters, including targeted research and compliance projects (e.g., 50-state surveys and vendor audits) relevant to Savvas' business operations as well as drafting summary memoranda and prepare presentations on findings. Assist in review of contract terms and drafting changes to customer or vendor agreements in addition to other duties as requested relating to the business of the Legal Department, such as reviewing author agreements, drafting amendments, and preparing contract summaries of executed agreements as needed for various company departments. The intern can expect to experience real world commercial issues facing a corporate legal department of a major corporation, including exposure to legal issues regarding intellectual property, government compliance, litigation, data privacy, employee issues, product development, artificial intelligence and other legal matters.
